Memory Quilts
Memory Quilts are a great way to use t-shirts, baby clothes, or a loved one's clothing to create a quilt that will be used and treasured for years to come.

Below is a variation of a memory quilt. A mother asked me to create a "guest book" quilt for her daughter's upcoming wedding. The couple selected their desired colors (a nod to their alma mater, perhaps?) Guests were each invited to write a message to the couple on a quilt square. After the wedding, I assembled the blocks along with a center block with the couple's names and wedding date.
It was a fun project and I know the couple will enjoy the quilts for years to come!
Below is another idea for a memory quilt I made for my son and his wife using their daughters' baby clothes.
I wanted to do something other than cutting their clothes into blocks, so made this "clothesline" with favorite clothing items "hung in the breeze". Note Mom and Dad's names are on the tree. A bit of a challenge to quilt, as I had to make sure I didn't run the machine over any snaps, buttons, zippers, etc. But it sure turned out cute!
